ABOUT US

Built in America, Running All Night

Lightsout CNC Manufacturing delivers precision machined parts through fully automated, lights-out production in Hawthorne, California. Faster. Tighter. Without excuses.

The Founder

Andrew Adams founded Lightsout CNC Manufacturing after years working in commercial banking and financial advisory alongside American manufacturers. Through that experience, he saw a clear pattern: skilled machinists and strong equipment were being held back by inefficient systems, missed deadlines, and poor operational structure. He built Lightsout on the belief that U.S. manufacturing doesn’t have a talent problem — it has a systems problem — and that the future belongs to automated, software-driven precision shops built for speed, efficiency, and scale.

Mission

There was a time when "Made in America" wasn't a marketing phrase — it was a guarantee. It meant precision. It meant a part that fit right the first time, every time. It meant a handshake you could build a company on.

Then, over three decades, we watched that guarantee get sold off piece by piece. Production moved overseas chasing the lowest bid. Machine shops that had run for generations went dark. Skilled machinists — the people who actually knew how to hold a tolerance to the thousandth — retired with no one behind them to take the controls. America didn't lose its ability to build. We lost our stomach for building it right, on time, without cutting corners to survive on razor-thin margins.

Here's what nobody wanted to admit: the talent never left. The knowledge never left. What broke was the system around it — manual scheduling, single-shift production, paper travelers, and a business model that asked the best machinists in the world to compete on price against a factory floor twelve time zones away, running three shifts for a fraction of the cost.

Lightsout CNC Manufacturing exists because that fight was never fair, and we refused to keep losing it the old way.

We didn't bolt automation onto a legacy shop and hope for the best. We built a fully unattended, software-driven precision manufacturing operation from the ground up — engineered to run through the night, every night, while the rest of the industry goes home. Our machines don't clock out at 5 PM. Our precision doesn't degrade on the third shift because there's no third shift — there's one relentless, automated standard, running around the clock, on American soil.

That is how we compete. Not by cutting quality to match the lowest bidder overseas — by cutting the inefficiency that made the old model impossible to sustain. Automation isn't the enemy of American manufacturing. It's the only thing that lets American precision compete on cost without ever compromising on integrity.

We build on four commitments, and we don't negotiate on any of them:

Trust. Every part we ship is traceable, documented, and accountable from raw material to final inspection. When you send us a print, you get back exactly what you specified — not what was convenient to make.

Automation. Precision manufacturing engineered for continuous, unattended production — so capacity scales with demand instead of running out at the end of a shift.

Consistency. The thousandth part matches the first. Not most of the time. Every time. That is the entire premise of automated production, and we hold ourselves to it without exception.

Excellence. We don't chase every material or every market. We master aerospace-grade aluminum, and we hold ourselves to the standards the aerospace and defense industry actually requires — because half-measures have no place in mission-critical hardware.

American manufacturing doesn't have a talent problem. It never did. It has a systems problem — and we intend to solve it, one precision part, one unattended overnight run, one on-time shipment at a time.

We are Lightsout CNC Manufacturing. The lights go off. The work doesn't stop. And American precision doesn't take a back seat to anyone.

Vision

A future where the best precision parts in the world are made in America — not because it’s cheap, but because nothing else comes close.

Why Lightsout

Designed for Automation, Not Adapted to It

Most shops bolt automation onto legacy infrastructure. Lightsout was engineered from day one as a fully unattended, digital facility. No legacy inefficiencies, no old habits.

Predictable Delivery

We don’t guess delivery dates. Our software builds your timeline the second your job enters our system. Digital workflows and real-time tracking offer complete execution clarity.

One Material. Total Mastery.

We machine aluminum—specifically 2024, 6061, and 7075 alloys. By focusing entirely on mastering one material, our tooling, feeds, and speeds are hyper-optimized.

Built-In Aerospace Standards

We operate to AS9100D quality management standards and are an ITAR-registered facility. Compliance and traceability are built directly into our foundational systems.

Continuous 24/7 Production

While other shops close at 5 PM, our shop continues production through the night and weekend. This structural efficiency guarantees faster lead times and a highly competitive cost structure.

Automation You Can Trust

Aluminum specialists today. Aerospace standards built in.

We launch focused entirely on the precision aluminum alloys that dominate aerospace, defense, and space systems. By specializing completely, our tooling, feeds, speeds, and inspection processes are structurally optimized to deliver faster cycle times, absolute traceability, and uncompromised quality.
